Who we are
The Average Marine’s Pain Palace was founded in Paxton, Massachusetts by a former Marine who served from 1998–2005 with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, including combat operations during the initial invasion of Iraq.
After returning home, the battle continued.
Years of PTSD led to alcohol dependency, isolation, and ultimately a six-week inpatient recovery program through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2023.
Recovery brought clarity.
Discipline became the path forward. Endurance became the proving ground.
After completing the 2025 Marine Corps Marathon, the mission evolved beyond personal transformation.
Now, every mile run is dedicated to one purpose:
Ending veteran homelessness.
We are currently partnering with numerous organizations listed on our donation page, and building relationships with veteran service organizations across New England and beyond.
This is only the beginning.
